- Hello.
-
- I can't boot a specific DOS from C: (OS/2 is booted from D:).
- I always get SYS3171 (invalid instruction at 0009458c,
- equivalent to illegal op'code (#6)),
- apparently before anything from CONFIG.SYS on C: has been obeyed.
-
- I have a 198 Mbyte SCSI disk with an Adaptec 154X adapter
- (this problem occurred with the old, shipped AHA154X.ADD
- and with the newer one (June, I think) from ftp-os2)
- which is partitioned as 100 Mbyte primary FAT (DOS boot),
- 97 Mbyte logical HPFS (OS/2 boot) and 1 Mbyte Boot Manager.
-
- My best guess is that I can't boot a specific DOS from C:
- anyway because I have a SCSI disk which the specific DOS wants to control,
- which OS/2 won't allow.
-
- Any help or information will be greatly appreciated.
-
- Best wishes,
-
- Horst
