- I'm having problems with my modem in a dos full screen session.
- What happens is that Qmodem reports a CARRIER 14400 but then locks up and
- will not accept any key strokes. This also happens under crosstalk for windows
- under a full-screen win-os2 session. If I use dual boot and boot DR DOS 6.0
- Qmodem connects and works fine. I tried booting a DR DOS 6.0 dos box under
- os/2 and the same problem occurred. I also switched the modem from com2 to
- com3 and the results are the same, it works under DR DOS but not under os2.
- I figure it's not an IRQ or a com port problem because the modem dials and
- connects but then locks up. I usually just ctrl-esc and kill the dos box
- but then if I run Qmodem again I get no response from the keyboard again.
- One other point that might help is that I am using an old AMI BIOS 4/09/89
- and I have heard about some keyboard incompatibilities but I haven't run
- into any other problems other than this.
- Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated!!
