  14.     I'm having problems with my modem in a dos full screen session.
  15. What happens is that Qmodem reports  a CARRIER 14400 but then locks up and 
  16. will not accept any key strokes.  This also happens under crosstalk for windows
  17. under a full-screen win-os2 session.  If I use dual boot and boot DR DOS 6.0
  18. Qmodem connects and works fine.  I tried booting a DR DOS 6.0 dos box under 
  19. os/2 and the same problem occurred.  I also switched the modem from com2 to 
  20. com3 and the results are the same, it works under DR DOS but not under os2.
  21. I figure it's not an IRQ or a com port problem because the modem dials and
  22. connects but then locks up.  I usually just ctrl-esc and kill the dos box
  23. but then if I run Qmodem again I get no response from the keyboard again.
  24. One other point that might help is that I am using an old AMI BIOS 4/09/89
  25. and I have heard about some keyboard incompatibilities but I haven't run 
  26. into any other problems other than this.
