  10. Hi.  I download some fonts, and I tried printing one out at a 
  11. LARGE point size.  my system crashed.

  13. Since then, every time i boot up, I get a message (from my Phoenix BIOS, I pres
  14. ume) saying "Fixed disk read failure - Press F1 to retry boot, F2 for
  15. setup utility."  
  16.  
  17. F2 goes to my CMOS setup screen.  Everything looks fine.
  18. F1 jumps right to the Boot Manager, as if nothing was wrong.  From there,
  19. i can boot OS/2 or DOS just fine.

  21. I called IBM and they told to delete the boot partition, and contruct another
  22. one. I did this, but it did not help.

  24. What could it be that screws things up?  When I boot up, it activates my
  25. A: drive, then my B: drive, and then when it access my hard drive it gives
  26. that error.  Seeing as OS/2 does boot up fine, I think it has nothing to do with
  27. OS/2 per se.

  29. Any suggestions?  It looks like I could do fine like this as far as working 
  30. on my computer goes, but very bothersome.  I'd hate to have to low-level
  31. format or something and lose all the time invested in my system.
