- A few questions:
-
- 1) How do I make Wordperfect the default choice on open for
- any file with the extension .DOC? I know how to do this
- on a per-file basis, and I know how to associate Wordperfect
- with all files that have the .DOC extension. The problem
- is that the system editor E is always the default open
- choice for files with the type "plain text". I want E
- to be the choice for all files of type "plain text" but NOT
- if they have the .DOC extension, so that double-clicking
- them will open them up in Wordperfect.
-
- I'm setting this up for a person who uses Wordperfect
- daily and has several hundred .DOC files already. Templates
- have been set up but aren't the complete solution in this
- case.
-
- 2) Does anyone know what DOS settings to use to make PGA Golf
- work? It works fine in full screen DOS unless you Ctrl+ESC
- back to OS/2. Upon a subsequent switch back to the game, the
- screen is corrupted. Also, in windowed-DOS mode, the screen
- drawing is bizarre - it seems tiled or replicated. I've fiddled
- with all the VIDEO_ settings to no avail.
-
- Any help would be appreciated, particularly as the person I'm
- setting this system up for is in a position to influence by example
- a county department to go with OS/2 (and before you ask, no he
- doesn't play PGA golf on county time - it's a personal system that
- he brought in to work... Yeah, that's it! That's the ticket!)
-
- Please post any response via email - our news machine has been
- unreliable of late - and, thanks for any assistance.
