- The recently announced upgrade is version 3.0. It is still a character-mode
- application. The DOS and OS/2 versions are virtually identical in appearance
- and operation, though under the hood they must be quite different. For
- example, the OS/2 version is multithreaded; the DOS version obviously can't
- be. I understand this new version still does not support long filenames (a
- shame). [For those of you who have been struggling with making DOS
- communications program work under OS/2 2.0, I can only say that a native
- OS/2 communications program really makes life much easier, though I can
- understand a user's preference for sticking with a familiar program that
- satisfies their needs.]

- The 32-bit PM application that Hilgraeve is currently working on is expected
- to ship before the end of the year. I do not know what policy Hilgraeve has,
- if any, with regard to upgrades from version 3.0 to the 32-bit PM version.
- I for one do not plan to upgrade twice in the span of four months.
