- I've had the same experience with TE/2. The vt100 terminal emulation
- is not good. I use the jove text editor and pressing keystrokes like
- CNTRL-F (move the cursor to the right one space) will erase the
- previous character on my screen. And I too end up pressing
- CNTRL-L many times to get the screen to refresh correctly. This
- is particularly bad when programming since I find it necessary
- to see what's been typed before.

- The last time this happened was when I used Telix. But I fixed that
- problem by setting the "destructive backspace off". I tried doing
- this same thing with TE/2 by modifying the te.ini file, but
- still continues to erase characters off the screen. For now, back
- to Telix!
