- Summary: I need help with Soft/hardware for Fremont's Fax96 under Win3.1enh
- Keywords: windows, fax,
-
- I am running win3.1 on a 386 and I am having difficulties with the
- software and hardware for my fax board, which is a Fremont Fax96 with Frecom
- fax96 and "One-Liner" software.. The first problem occurs every time the phone
-
- rings. The TSR portion of the software notifies me that the phone is ringging
- and begins to monitor the call. Windows locks up at this point and all key
- strokes are sent to a buffer and not printed or carried out until the phone
- call is over. I would like to be able to cancel the telephone monitoring as
- the software is designed to allow. My keystrokes need to be sent to the TSR
- program, but how?
- The second problem is using the board with win3.1 in the enhanced mode.
- The manufacturer claims WIN3.0 enh does not allow high speed communication
- with the board. The board is configured on I/O port 280, IRQ interrupt 5, as I
- understand it. The software detects that win is in enhanced mode and does not
- allow me to send a fax. How can I override this? Does win3.1 support the
- needed communication processes? Thank you for your help. Please send
- responses to callaci@bcserv.wustl.edu. I will post a summary of replies.
