-
- We do a lot of faxing to China (from europe) and the lines are often
- very bad. Sometimes during the initial handshaking WinFax comes up
- with a "No communication from modem" message. One then has to click
- it away, after which the event is removed from the pending list. This,
- I think, is a misfeature as it prevents us from putting several faxes
- through overnight unattended.
-
- The manual doesn't say what this message means. Is it the local or
- remote modem that refuses to communicate? The fax usually goes through
- after several retries (which alas cannot be done unattended).
-
- Since switching to Windows 3.1, when selecting receipient the correct
- phone number is no longer automatically inserted when tabbing to the
- phone number field. One now has to go into the phone book and pick the
- right entry.
-
- We are using WinFax Pro 2.0 with a cheap GVC Supermodem 2400
