  21. Yes, the best way to speed up all windows apps is with more RAM to play with.
  22. if you install a total of 6 (or more) MB RAM, you can run a sizeable cache,
  23. a small (1 MB or so) RAM disk for temp space and still have room for working.

  26. Not really significant.  Most of windows functions do not use the co-processor
  27. unless the application was written specifically to use it (i.e. Excel, Word,
  28. Mathcad) .  It doesn't do much for solitaire, but why should it?

  32. You will notice significant speed and stability gains running 3.1.  It is
  33. also the cheapest way to boost speed.  I'm not sure if 6 (or 8) MB will
  34. run windows 3.0 faster than 4 MB will run 3.1, but I assume so.  Besides,
  35. windows 3.1 has some features that make it attractive (TrueType, minesweeper,
  36. better object linking, a better cache, etc.)
