- I'm not sure if this is appropriate, but a friend pointed this out to
- when I was over at his house. He runs windows under 800X600 (or something
- like that) mode, and although he has a non-interlaced monitor and card, he
- has to run a program which makes his monitor run non-interlaced. I am not
- positive but I believe he has a trident card. I also found it odd that
- the program caused his vertical screen size to shrink about 25% from both
- the top and bottom, so he constantly has to readjust his monitor's dial
- everytime he enters and exits windows. From what he told me and showed me
- about interlaced monitors, if you look at it from the corner of your eye,
- it flickers. And that is exactly what his monitor did if he didn't run
- the program, and that is exactly what my monitor does right now. I am in
- 1024X760 (or something like that) mode, I have a microscan 3d/ADI monitor
- and an orchird Fahrenheit 1280 card with 1024K. When I put it in the
- 800X600 mode, it seems to be find, but I can definetly tell that it is
- interlaced in the 1024X760 mode. Is there a program I need to run or
- something?
-
- I also always thought that the monitor made the difference between
- being interlaced or not, and not the card? I guess I'm just a bit
- confused. Any suggestions/info?
