  12. A couple Linux-newbie(tm) questions:

  14. 1) Is there any Token Ring support?  I've got a 16Mb card here and it
  15. would sweet to ftp right to Linux instead of to DOS -> rawrite -> Linux
  16. -> tar.

  18. 2) Just how do you move stuff from DOS to Linux via rawrite -> tar?  I
  19. grabbed tcsh.tar.Z from tsx, uncompressed it in DOS, rawrote it to a
  20. floppy, fired up Linux (thanks BootLinux & Boot.Sys!) and ran

  22. tar -tvf /dev/fd0H1440

  24. It spat out the verbose file listing as (I assumed) it put the files on
  25. the HD. But!  There were no additional files on the HD.  df reported no
  26. used/free changes.  What am I doing wrong here?
