  15. Just as soon as I finish tuning KERMIT I'll be prepared to install gcc2.2.2d
  16. I've tried to read as much as I could on installing gcc, but I'm still unclear
  17. about a couple of questions. If someone could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate
  18. it.

  20. Steps to installation of gcc, (as I understand them to be).
  21. Download the 3 gcc files to my Linux machine (lib/misc/db).
  22. Download the Header files for 0.97pl1
  23. Download the Install.2.x script.
  24.  
  25. From here to I just run (execute) the script, and that is it?
  26. Where should the compiler be placed (directory tree)?
  27. Is there anything else, ie. changing my paths,etc ?

  29. I appologise if these are ignorant questions, but I'm learning and I've not
  30. been able to find the answers.
