- On the other hand, those of us with different rigid policies and
- bureaucracies (and the gov't has *nothing* on the Ivy Leauge, believe
- me!), would find it *much* harder to fork over an extra $50-$100 for
- conference fees just to get money off room rates (which we _can_ control,
- by sharing rooms). So, damned if you do...

- Is there really a prohibition against sharing rooms on gov't travel?
- As I remember from the Bad Old Days when I was working for defense
- contractors, we were pretty much _required_ to share, if possible, to
- keep costs down.
