  32. On the other hand, those of us with different rigid policies and 
  33. bureaucracies (and the gov't has *nothing* on the Ivy Leauge, believe
  34. me!), would find it *much* harder to fork over an extra $50-$100 for
  35. conference fees just to get money off room rates (which we _can_ control,
  36. by sharing rooms).  So, damned if you do...

  38. Is there really a prohibition against sharing rooms on gov't travel?
  39. As I remember from the Bad Old Days when I was working for defense
  40. contractors, we were pretty much _required_ to share, if possible, to
  41. keep costs down.
