- Well, that explains part of my problem... I've now fiddled with the DIP
- switches on the Addram and nothing has changed, but of course I was only
- using BASIC as a check, so I would only ever see 62K. Damn. I hope I can
- change it back again!
-
- The first question is - what startup memory checks? Nothing appears
- onscreen until it trys to call the drive to load DOS, and then it either
- loads DOS or defaults into BASIC. While I was fiddling with the DIP
- switches I got some errors on bootup - PARITY CHECK 2 was one, the
- others were either 201 or 1055 201 whatever THAT means.
- I'll grab myself a memory check program from somwhere or other, unless
- DOS has one (I don't use PCs much...)
-
- But the addram needs driver software? Thought so. Well, if anyone has it
- I'd be grateful for a copy, assuming it's PD or the company is bust or
- something like that of course.

-
- Wheeee! That sounds like fun, even at a speed so slow you can hear the
- cogs turning...
-
- Thanks to everybody who's helped me with this, by the way, sorry I
- haven't got time to reply individually.
