- download mail from a Unix system, and synchronize the Unix mail with
- the work done locally when you upload again.

- AT&T Mail offers such a product. It's called Access Plus.

- try taking a peek on cac.washington.edu. There's a package called "imap"
- that provides mail services for PCs/Macs. It's all in the public domain,
- and I think they provide a sample PC client. It's not of the
- upload/download variety (more interactive) but it might be what you're
- looking for.

- at...just use anonymous ftp to get in)
