  12. I'm looking for some way to divert incoming mail to different folders
  13. before reading it, from noisy mailing lists, for example.  I stumbled
  14. across elm's "filter" program, but I don't want to use the rest of
  15. elm.  I currently use VM from within emacs and I'd rather not change.
  16. (At least not today!)

  18. Before I retrieve Elm, install it on my own system, and then beg,
  19. plead and argue for setgid permission from my sysadmin (with no
  20. guarantee of success), can elm's filter be used easily by itself?  Are
  21. there better ways to do what I want, given I'm not interested in the
  22. rest of elm?  I've already learned one handy thing
  23. ("|/usr/lib/sendmail $LOGNAME" in rn) since subscribing to this
  24. newsgroup, so I'm confident you all can enlighten me!
