- I asked:
- > Where might I find an introduction to ML (preferably the SML/NJ variant)?
-
- A couple of kind souls recommended Robert Harper's tech report "Introduction
- to Standard ML", which is about 100pp and is exactly what I needed.
-
- It's available in LaTeX format by FTP from princeton.edu. Fetch all the
- files in /pub/ml/incoming/harper-notes, and run main.tex thru LaTeX. (An
- output main.dvi file is already there, but it wouldn't display on my system.
- Your mileage may vary.)

- thanks to all, tom lane
