  17.     I'm looking for a PC based 3-D modelling package for use in modelling  
  18.   human organs (liver, kidneys, etc.).  I need something which I can use
  19.   to produce wire frame polygon surface mesh models.  Important selection
  20.   criteria include :

  22.     (1) Must allow construction of models with irregular shapes.
  23.  
  24.     (2) Should provide documentation on format of stored files and/or
  25.             be able to export to some known format.
  26.  
  27.     (3) Models produced should consist of actual POLYGONS and not
  28.             simply vertex drawing lists.
  29.  
  30.         (4) Should support digitizer tablet input.

  34.     I am also looking for a paint package that will allow me to scan in
  35.   photographs and perform hand retouching of the photos.  I would really
  36.   appreciate any recommendations on possible packages for these purposes.
