  10. You really need to keep link utilization stats for each direction, independent-
  11. ly.  Any combination of the two will be arbitrary and relatively meaningless
  12. (just the sort of thing management likes to see).  Combining the numbers also
  13. will obscure useful information; asymmetries in the traffic can be enlightening,
  14. especially if you can track the numbers minute-by-minute.
