  11. I have a friend who wants to free a slot in his PC, and he has offered to sell
  12. me his internal modem so he can buy an external modem.  The modem is a Nuvotel
  13. 14,400IFX Fax modem.  He doesn't have the manual around, and I know littleof
  14. the brand.  It seems to support all of the standard protocols, such as V.32,
  15. V.32bis, V.42, V.42bis, MNP5, and so on.  It also seems to have all of the
  16. standard fax capabilities.  Is this modem any good (I suppose for $150, it
  17. can't be too bad)?  Is there anything in particular I should know about
  18. this modem?
