- There ARE NO PRE-RELEASE SPECS. The current level of consensus in
- the committee is quite small; we can just barely agree on the data
- rates, much less symbol rates, modulation schemes, startup
- procedures, secondary channel implementations, etc. etc. etc. There
- is another meeting at the end of this month in Bath, England, at
- which we hope to make some progress, but the fact remains that
- V.fast is still quite undefined. Anything you see on the market
- today claiming to be "V.fast" is really just another proprietary
- high-speed modulation scheme, since there isn't even the beginning
- of a standard yet (just a lot of proposals on the table).
