  12. This is yet another "what v.32bis modem should I buy?" posting, but with
  13. a twist. I've been following this group for months and have seen good
  14. and bad reports about most of the models. After sifting through it, I'm
  15. most tempted by Supra and PPI.

  17. Can anyone offer any suggestions about whether a Rockwell chipset modem
  18. like the Supra is better (less buggy, more reliable, has more features,
  19. etc.) than an ATT chipset modem like the PPI, or vise versa? The PPI is
  20. more expensive, but I would happy pay extra if it meant a modem that
  21. does what I want today and does it well. FWIW, I'll be buying an
  22. external modem for a 486 running OS/2 and I'll want both modem and fax
  23. services.
