- This is yet another "what v.32bis modem should I buy?" posting, but with
- a twist. I've been following this group for months and have seen good
- and bad reports about most of the models. After sifting through it, I'm
- most tempted by Supra and PPI.
-
- Can anyone offer any suggestions about whether a Rockwell chipset modem
- like the Supra is better (less buggy, more reliable, has more features,
- etc.) than an ATT chipset modem like the PPI, or vise versa? The PPI is
- more expensive, but I would happy pay extra if it meant a modem that
- does what I want today and does it well. FWIW, I'll be buying an
- external modem for a 486 running OS/2 and I'll want both modem and fax
- services.
-
- Thanks,
-
- David
