  19. Without starting a flame here, I must forewarn you of my terrible
  20. experience with USRobotics...

  22. I am a sysop of a BBS, and ordered a USR modem directly from USR back in
  23. June of either 1990 or 1991.  Keeping a long story short, I never got
  24. any replies or communications from USR for SIX months... They never
  25. returned calls, etc...  Finally, six months later, I got a FedEx
  26. delivery stub left on my door, saying I had a package from USR, and that
  27. money was due.  Well, needless to say, I now have a Hayes and PPI modem
  28. instead, and am happy with both (although I did have some problems with
  29. PPI support also, but not half as bad as USR).

  31. So be warned... USR may have a good product, but good luck if you need
  32. customer support!
