- Without starting a flame here, I must forewarn you of my terrible
- experience with USRobotics...
-
- I am a sysop of a BBS, and ordered a USR modem directly from USR back in
- June of either 1990 or 1991. Keeping a long story short, I never got
- any replies or communications from USR for SIX months... They never
- returned calls, etc... Finally, six months later, I got a FedEx
- delivery stub left on my door, saying I had a package from USR, and that
- money was due. Well, needless to say, I now have a Hayes and PPI modem
- instead, and am happy with both (although I did have some problems with
- PPI support also, but not half as bad as USR).
-
- So be warned... USR may have a good product, but good luck if you need
- customer support!
