  16.    Most likely cause is that you're not using hardware handshaking properly.  
  17. Both your modem and your terminal program must be configured to use RTS/CTS 
  18. handshaking.  Since you have an Amiga, you may have to make this change in 
  19. Preferences, though I'd suggest that you scour your terminal program(s) first.
