  21. Well, it appears that NetFax has two rather bad design
  22. deficiencies:

  24.     1) Heavily centered on Everfax modem (who uses
  25.        that stuff these days, except for museums?).

  27.     2) Based on assumption that you're rich and silly
  28.        enough to dedicate the whole serial port and
  29.        the modem to fax ONLY.

  31. Also, ZyXEL had some problems with Class 2 Fax commands
  32. implementation.  I was able to transmit multi-page docs
  33. with NetFax-2.1 and ZyXEL ROMs 4.05 and 4.08. Soon I'll
  34. get their current ROMs (is it 5.01 ?)  and will be able 
  35. to tell more...

  37. NetFax uses "+FDT=...." to communicate transmission
  38. parameters to the modem. I found that "+FDCC=....."
  39. does it much better... Also there's something to do
  40. with modem returning OK instead of 0 sometimes. And
  41. at certain occasions the modem returns  less,  than
  42. NetFax expects...  Most of the tinkering is done on
  43. libfax/class2protocol.c and faxsend/faxsnd.c files.

  48. No, of course not. Just a standard, normal RS-232, or whatever
  49. it's called - serial cable...
