- I have been sent email by Rus Jelks, who worked for Jeff Weiss at
- BFJ Enterprises. I am extremely hesitant to post Rus' letter to the
- net since even though I would be acting as just a "messenger" it
- contains statements of "fact" that could be considered damaging or
- libelous to Mr. Weiss if they were not true. I too have followed your
- path of trying to contact Jeff Weiss, including speaking to the
- Office Mgr. at the Roswell Mall in Roswell GA where the store is
- located... including trying to reach Jeff at home where his number
- has been disconnected with no referral... including getting that
- OTHER Jeff Weiss' phone nbr in his locale, calling it, and getting
- an answering machine which had a message that was NOT the voice of
- the Jeff Weiss I know from BFJ (I met Jeff and dined with him and
- hung out w/him a bit at the AmiExpo last Feb. on the Queen Mary in
- Long Beach).
-
- At any rate, Rus' letter is discouraging and if true, BFJ Enterprises
- is unlikely to open its doors again. Jeff Weiss has a Portal account
- which is not turned off, so someone is paying the bill, but he's not
- answering his email. In the meantime I've removed his online catalogs
- from the Amiga Zone on Portal and I've shut his Amiga Zone Vendor
- area. If and when such time comes as I learn, FROM JEFF that he has
- indeed shut down BFJ as a business, I'll remove his Vendor area
- entirely.
-
- Very sad.. he's a nice kid and seemed to be trying very hard to build
- up his business. I thought he was doing quite well, actually.
