  17. This is for anyone out there who is familiar with Borland's Objectvision.
  18. I have spent all of today working on an OV (2.0) application.  I didn't get any
  19. error messages while I was doing so, and I saved my changes to a file.
  20. I went to open this file just now, and i got the folllowing message:

  23. "Inconsistent Data in (Filename).  Will not be able to open and run this
  24. application."

  27. When, in my disbelief I tried again to open it, I got another error message
  28. that looked alot like Windows' dreaded "General Protection fault" message
  29. on the screen:

  31.     "Internal error encountered.  Please report error code
  32.      8-688-V-2.04"
  33.  
  34. And then after clicking the OK button, it threw me out of OV completely...
  35.  
  36. HELP!!!!  I don't want to have to re-do a day's work - is there ANY way
  37. to open this file so I can at least correct my error(s)?  Does OV
  38. do this a lot or am I just incompetant (don't answer that part).

  41. Please E-mail me ASAP with any potential suggestions as to a possible cause for
  42. this, or some kind of solution....I'd call tech support at Borland, but lately
  43. it had been hard to get through to them, and I'm on the other side of the 
  44. continent from them, so listeneing to muzak for an hour can get expensive...
