  19. Judging by the amount of requests recorded in our ftp-log there are
  20. many readers of rec.food.cooking who are familiar with this cookbook.
  21. For those of you who are not, here are the details.
  22.  
  23. The Network Cookbook was composed by a reader of rec.food.cooking who
  24. wishes to remain anonymous.  I can attest that she is a great cook
  25. and a great hacker. She has collected recipes from rec.food.cooking
  26. and rec.food.recipes for several years. She chose mostly non-trivial
  27. stuff, and her personal taste and preferences in cooking should show
  28. up in the selections. I believe that she had tried most of the recipes
  29. if not all of them.

  31. Recently, Ms. X took the time to transform this collection into LaTeX.
  32. At this point, I took over and added few more macros and dropped in
  33. some hacks.

  35. DISCLAIMER: I do not know much about cooking or recipes myself, and
  36. I have never tried making any of the recipes in the book. I can take
  37. very little credit (or blame) for this book. My only objective was
  38. to make this book available to our local users community, and to
  39. the usenet readers.
