  26. - It is now possible to copy the local phonebook entry settings to the
  27.   main preferences settings.

  29. - The  call  rate  control  has  been  greatly enhanced (multiple time
  30.   settings,  different  settings  for the first unit and all following
  31.   units).

  33. - The  dialing  functions  in  the main menu and the phonebook will be
  34.   disabled if the program is still online.  To make them available one
  35.   needs to hang up the line first.

  38. Clipboard support:

  41. - Screen  text  clipping  has been rewritten to support multiple lines
  42.   and pages.

  44. - Clipboard pasting will now correctly process multiple `CHRS' chunks.

  46. - The  256  byte  limit  for  clipboard  reads  is  gone.   Similar to
  47.   xprascii.library  adjustable  character/line  send  delays have been
  48.   added.

  57. - The  ANSI standard `insert character' sequence has been added to the

  60. - The  built-in  terminal  emulation  routines  have been rewritten in
  61.   order to reduce overhead and processing time.

  63. - `term' 2.3 now supports the new external emulation library interface
  64.   as defined by the 2.0 specs.

  66. - It is now possible to disable the terminal printer support routines.

  76. - A hotkey-combination has been added to abort a running ARexx command.

  78. - A  new  ARexx  command  has been added to terminate the program from
  79.   within an ARexx script.

  81. - BUG  FIXED:   The  default  script  file  name  extension used to be
  82.   `..term' instead of `.term'.

  85. File transfer:

  88. - The  alert  signal  issued when a file transfer is finished has been
  89.   made user-configurable.

  91. - If  enabled,  the  transfer  routines will track the presence of the
  92.   carrier  signal.   If  the  carrier is lost during the transfer, the
  93.   transfer is aborted.

  95. - The  transfer  control  window  will be opened inactive if no `term'
  96.   window is active when the transfer starts.
  97.  
  98. - The  transfer menu will be disabled if no transfer protocol is to be
  99.   opened.

  101. - If plain ASCII file transfer is invoked, the program tries to locate
  102.   xprascii.library  in  the same path as the currently active transfer
  103.   protocol.   If the library can still not be opened it will drop back
  104.   to the default `Libs:' search path.

  106. - The  settings windows for xpr protocol and xem emulation options now
  107.   sport  the  same  set of `Use' and `Cancel' buttons as all the other
  108.   settings windows.

  110. - BUG  FIXED:   It  was  impossible  to  control the transfer panel by

  114. Serial device and modem control:

  117. - xON/xOFF  software handshaking can now be enabled along with RTS/CTS
  118.   hardware handshaking.

  120. - If  enabled,  the  program  will  track  the presence of the carrier
  121.   signal every five seconds.

  123. - If  changing the serial settings causes the serial device to respond
  124.   with  an  error  the program will now display the cause of the error
  125.   and reset the device if necessary.

  127. - A new default command sequence has been added: the logoff macro.

  129. - In  addition to the dial string prefix a dial string suffix has been
  130.   added.

  146. - The  program  has  been  enhanced  to  support  both screen printing
  147.   (hardcopy)  and  printing  of  the clipboard contents.  The printing
  148.   process can be aborted at any time.

  154. - `term' now sports a font-sensitive user-interface.

  156. - The  main  menu  layout  has  changed  to conform to the `Amiga User
  157.   Interface Style Guide' standard.

  159. - A  new  support  window  has  been  added:   the  status window.  It
  160.   displays  miscellaneous  information  such as the last modem connect
  161.   string, the terminal window size, etc.

  163. - The screen panel now sports a new `Use default colours' button.

  165. - Requested by several users, `term' will now write `NComm'-compatible
  166.   callinfo log files.

  169. Other bugs which have been fixed:

  172. - The fast! macro window could cause an Enforcer hit when closed.

  174. - The program would not load keymap files.
  175.  
  176. - The  `Backup  configuration'  switch  would  be  checked only if the
  177.   phonebook  entry  which  would replace the main settings had it set.
  178.   The  behaviour  has  been  changed:  now it's the main configuration
  179.   which is checked.

  181. - xprkermit.library v1.111 has been fixed to work correctly  with  the
  182.   xpr interface.

  185. Documentation:

  188. - The  entire documentation has been rewritten in TeXInfo format which
  189.   makes  it possible to generate different documentation file formats:
  190.   plain   ASCII  text,  TeXInfo  hypertext,  AmigaGuide,  TeX-DVI  and
  191.   Postscript.
