  13. Howard Gitlow wrote a book in 1982 called Stat City where he constructed
  14. a hypothetical population of households in Stat City. The population
  15. consisted of about 1300 households.
  16. In the appendix, he gave a listing of all the variables
  17. for the households and a 'city' map. This would seem to be an
  18. ideal teaching tool for sampling. Does anyone know if a machine
  19. readable version is available. Are there any other similar
  20. datasets available? The book does not appear to be in print in 1992.
