- I have expunged all OS/2 data from my harddisk (I hope). I set all attributes
- to unhidden (or whatever) and deleted all directories and subdirectories. I
- hope Big Blue has not left any "hooks" (Paul Bodin's great phrase) behind or
- any little silicon footprint (my phrase). The technician that called last said
- taht I should find out from Gateway or whoever the hex location of my COM3 port
- and then they could help me; I bristled at that. "If you had written a
- successful program it could find that #@%$ port", said I. DOS 5 has no problems
- finding COM3 without a map. My hands are raw from pushing diskettes into the A
- drive all yesterday afternoon. Would people here let me know when IBM has
- written an "intelligent" patch; maybe all the programers are men; we men are
- notorious for not asking for directions (even for a COM3).

- PS I'm sorry if my ravings have upset those of you with a quasi-religious
- fervor towards IBM.
