  12. I think Clifford Flanigan's Saturday flame, or rather blaze, about
  13. the way NBI has carriedon its business is (a) right on the mark and (b)
  14. very appropriate for this list.
  15. One consequence of being a dedicated NB user is that you get asked
  16. by colleagues and students who are just getting binto computing
  17. whether they should invest in NB or joing the crowd with WordPerfect,
  18. or etc. A year ago I would advise NB without much hesitation, but
  19. now I am not at all so sure. NB is, as Flanigan says, the best DOS
  20. word processor, but there are all these other issues, and Flanigan's
  21. letter has helped me very much in bringing these issues into focus.
  22. And as to relevance for this list--Well, helping me in my role
  23. (unwished for but inescapable) of local NB guruis one of the things
  24. I look for this list to do.
  25. What advice do other list users give to new computer users? Do they
  26. worry that ina few year's time NB may enjoy about the same status
  27. as that presently enjoyed by the Cord autoobile or the Kaypro version
  28. of PerfectWriter?
