  17. I believe vmxmacup is -normally- run from an id other than VMSECURE,
  18. and it puts the new macro somewhere (IUCV buffer??) and then issues an
  19. undocumented command to VMSECURE to come and get it.  Like others who
  20. have responded, I use a second-level system for testing SCI stuff.  I
  21. am glad I don't have to struggle with the other way; it sounds messy!

  23. Most of the SCI fixes I've applied have been at upgrade time, when I go
  24. out looking for them.  It seems like our last few VMSECURE upgrades
  25. involved lots of macro updates - maybe more of those than zaps.  But at
  26. least they're more human-readable than zaps.
