- We are using Pioneer's 6 disk CD-changer on our OS/2 system. Using SCSI,
- you can chain 7 of these on one local bus to achieve 7 drives accessing
- 42 disks. I guess this can be legitimized as operations work. We hope
- to put this system on the network, maybe with NFS, to allow other
- workstation users to access the drive. To mount these from MVS will
- require the DFP people to get some work done on a NFS client for MVS.
-
- From what I have been able to gather, IBM is not sure how they are
- going to handle all of the distribution issues. My personal view is
- that you should be able to order a CD containing all books for products
- at your site (aka SLSS - but correct).
