- I would second the recommendation of Omnipage OCR software. Over
- the past year I have used it for two book projects involving
- texts in both French and English. Although some cleaning up of the
- scanned texts is necessary, Omnipage's accuracy is quite
- remarkable.
-
- We use a HP Scanjet connected to a Macintosh Si. The scanned texts
- are saved as WordPerfect files on the Macintosh. They can then be
- saved as WordPerfect 5.1 files for MS-DOS, if necessary.
