  14. I would second the recommendation of Omnipage OCR software. Over
  15. the past year I have used it for two book projects involving
  16. texts in both French and English. Although some cleaning up of the
  17. scanned texts is necessary, Omnipage's accuracy is quite
  18. remarkable.

  20. We use a HP Scanjet connected to a Macintosh Si. The scanned texts
  21. are saved as WordPerfect files on the Macintosh. They can then be
  22. saved as WordPerfect 5.1 files for MS-DOS, if necessary.
