  18. Announcing the Scholarly Communications FTP Server

  20.         The Scholarly Communications Project of Virginia Tech with the support
  21. of
  22.  University Libraries would like to announce the establishment of an FTP server
  23.  for all scholarly electronic journals published at VPI.  Titles which were
  24.  previously available only by subscription to listserv lists include:
  25.  
  26. _The Community Services CATALYST_
  27. _Journal of Technology Education_
  28. _Journal of the International Academy of Hospitality Research_
  29. _The International Journal of Analytical and Experimental Modal Analysis_
  30.  
  31. Also available at this FTP site are the monthly logs for VPIEJ-L, issues of
  32. the electronic version of the _Newsletter of the Visual Communication Division
  33. of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication_, as well
  34. as frequently asked questions relevant to electronic publishing and tools for
  35. text processing and data compression for various platforms.  The server is
  36. available 24 hours a day for multiple logins via the Internet.

  44. About the Scholarly Communications FTP server:
  45. The server runs on a NeXTstation Turbo with 24Mb of RAM located at University
  46. Libraries, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
