  18. I have just recently got into the area of Academic Computing and Educational
  19. Technology.  Educational technology does not exist for itself; it only exists
  20. to help and enhance the educational process.  In order for this to happen
  21. instructors need to be trained in the use of this tool.  Who does this?
  22.   In our institution we have a professional development department as well as
  23. an Educational Technology department.  Does pro dev do this training or should
  24. Educ Tech do this?  Should they be one department since both are professional
  25. development?  Should they be separate?  But then where does instructional
  26. design end and educational technology begin?
  27.   I would be interested in some discussion on this topic.
