- A suggestion to assist new users. Have a command file set up a directory
- for NFS sharing to illustrate the various aspects of security with uid,gid
- etc. I am having difficulty getting NFS to recognize the file owner, it
- seems to only be giving world access, even with defined group and either
- specific uid,gid for that group or with passwd file from the unix system
- for that group. Is there a way to see what uid, gid, group, etc are being
- assumed at various stages of access in client and server?
-
- Also, why does the owner field show up as [default] instead of showing
- the name of the owner when one does a dir/security? Even with the client
- and server on the same machine I have the same problems. How can one
- find where the problem lies?
