  13.    I would really like to write a pixmap file, but I only see routines,
  14. XWriteBitmapFile and XReadBitmapFile.  The write apparently works,
  15. writing a pixmap of depth 8, but XReadBitmapFile returns the error
  16. file invalid.
  17.    In the DECWindows Xlib programming manual there is mention of
  18. XCreatePixmapFromBitmapData but this routine is NOT documented in the
  19. Xlib reference manual... shame on you DEC, there is nothing further in
  20. BookReader either.  All I know about it is the arg types from xlib.h

  22.     All the examples of getting a pixmap are from data, NOT from a file.

  24.     Has somebody written and read a pixmap file?
