- We have the process section table size (SYSGEN parameter PROCSECTCNT) set to
- 32. We also run a lot of images that use about 40 process sections (they use
- a lot of shareable images that are not installed).
-
- Sometimes (once every few weeks) I will run one of these images several
- times in a single process and then start getting the error SECTBLFUL. Once
- this happens it never stops, but if I log out and log in again I can run
- the image without any difficulty. I finally got around to investigating this
- today (which is when I asked the system mangler to up PROCSECTCNT :-) but ...
-
- Using SYSGEN SHOW PROC/PROC I have determined that the PST is empty
- when the image terminates and I *think* that it is never growing beyond
- PROCSECTCNT. The IDSM mentions that the PST can grow beyond PROCSECTCNT
- but doesn't say under what circumstances this might fail. Does anyone
- have any ideas why this should sometimes start happening? Neil.
