  19. This is one of the few intelligent things I read when I scanned this
  20. group recently (IMHO).

  22. I`m a Christian, thus pro-life.  But I don't think I have the right
  23. to force my beliefs on anyone by saying that they CAN'T have an abortion. 
  24. (Incidently, it was partly due to email with a few people from this group that I 
  25. thought more about my views, and softened from thinking that outlawing 
  26. abortion was part of the solution).

  28. Christians, please read and think about this...
  29. I think that we need to stop trying to tell everyone
  30. what to do (it's a waste of time, they won't listen to us), and pray that
  31. God will work his will through us.  The causes of unwanted pregnancy and the reasons
  32. to abort/not abort are so complex, that no human "solution" will ever be
  33. found (maybe it COULD be found, but I doubt it...)  Only God can help us 
  34. out of this mess!  If we put as much effort into prayer as we do "fighting
  35. the enemy pro-choicers", I believe God would work wonders.  I think most
  36. of us are guilty of not truly beleiving that 
  37.  
  38.       he "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask 
  39.       or can imagine" (Eph. 3:20).

  41. Non-christians...
  42. The hope that comes from knowing the power of God and the promise of
  43. salvation is the only thing that keeps me from getting truly depressed 
  44. given the state of world these days.  If I had to rely on the outcome of
  45. an election, or a Supreme Court decision, etc. Boy, does that ever 
  46. seem hopeless...
