- This evening on CNN's "The Capital Gang" program, Margaret Warner
- reported that a poll of delegates to the Republican National
- Convention revealed that only 28% of the delegates support
- a Human Life Amendment to the US Constitution, as called for
- by the platform. 55% were reported opposed.
-
- Rep. Henry Hyde was the guest on the program. He challenged the
- poll (which Warner suggested reached all delegates), saying that
- he, a delegate, had not been polled, and that he knew other
- delegates who also had not been polled.
