- If all you need is a reference on special functions, try Abramowitz and
- Stegun, "Handbook of Mathematical Functions", published originally by the
- National Bureau of Standards and available in paperback from Dover. No
- exercises, but if you ever need a numerical value, look here.

- Jackson, "Classical Electrodynamics", is a good reference for Legendre
- polynomials, spherical harmonics, and Bessel functions of integer order.
