  14. I'm in the process of looking for a speaker (the live kind) for a
  15. gathering on computer algebra, and I would like some assistance and
  16. opinions from the readers of this group.

  20. In your opinion, is there a "father/mother" of computer algebra?
  21. That is, is there a person whose vision and/or direction brought about
  22. the development of the first forms of computer algebra (e.g. ALTRAN, 
  23. MACSYMA, etc.)?

  25. Any information of current affliations of this person and definitive
  26. publications would also be of great assistance.
