  17. Our San Jacinto Council gave us a service calendar:
  18. September:
  19. adopt a grandparent, send a card monthly
  20. find out if your Service Unit Admin. needs assistance (babysit, rallies or
  21.        clerical jobs)
  22. apply for Cadette Event Planning Board
  23. do a fire prevention program for day care center
  24. conservation project at camp
  25. October:
  26. donate to the JLow World Frinedship Fund
  27. help with United Way Campaign
  28. adopt a Highway
  29. help with Reading Week at the library
  30. help tutor children in the basic R's
  31. assist Traveler's Aid
  32. work booth at school carnival
  33. produce play for orphanage
  34. pick up litter after community event
  35. November:
  36. honor vets at cemetary (11th)
  37. help at the polls (baby sit, snacks, etc.)
  38. decorate trays, cards, etc. for a nursing home, shelter, etc.
  39. December:
  40. collect/repair clothes/toys for needy families
  41. deliver holiday treats to fire/police stations on holiday
  42. recycle holiday cards/paste new message
  43. January:
  44. launch a community clean-up campaign
  45. assist with recruitment rallies
  46. apply for Senior Kick-off staff
  47. accompany Daisy troop on field trip
  48. watch another GS leader's children during her meeting
  49. adopt another United Way agency & volunteer your time
  50. plant a tree on Arbor day
