- There are several common problems which can cause overheating. A good
- shop that handles Toyotas in the area could solve it quite easily.
- Most likely, you have one of three problems.

- Thermostat problem.
- Fan clutch problem.
- Clogged passages in the radiator.
- Clogged passages in the engine.
- Water pump ended its life.

- You may want to reverse flush the radiator (ala Prestone kit
- at your local auto store). Even with a clog, you might not
- fix it this way. If you have been good about replacing the
- coolant every 1 - 2 years, you probably don't have a clog.
- Water pump or fan clutch is a good bet, since you've already
- replaced the thermostat.

- It's not the head gasket. You'd have to leak so much fluid that
- the car would hydrostatically lock. Plus you'd get one hell of
- a sweet smelling exhaust.
