  22. I decided to "get dirty" yesterday, and i went in an looked around
  23. a lot more.  There is indeed oil leaking around the valve covers, 
  24. but most of it seems to be coming from either the front/rear seals
  25. or from the oilpan seal.  Either of these seems to be a pain to get
  26. at without doing some serious dissassembly.

  28. I guess beyond that, it's just a matter of can I deal with a car that
  29. (1) ruins the environment, (2) ruins peoples' driveways (including
  30. mine!) and (3) makes me look like an idiot who won't pay to get it
  31. fixed (I won't pay someone else to do it!).  As long as I keep the
  32. oil level ok (a quart in 1000 mi) the engine should work ok... it
  33. did for the previous owner! (I can tell by looking around that it's
  34. been leaking for quite a while).
