- I'm looking at a 4cyl, 1989 Beretta (5sp, A/C) and had taken it out for a test
- drive from a local dealer. I noticed that the brakes felt sort of squishy, but
- worked well. It just seemed like they felt different than those of my truck or
- Monte SS.
-
- I peeked under the hood while I had it out to check the fluid levels and perform
- a general inspection. I couldn't get the oil check cap even off of the engine
- (some sort of springy thing seemed to keep it on).
-
- Has anyone heard of any problems that the '89s might of had? Any bad
- experiences? Good ones? What might be wrong with the squishy but functional
- brakes (51K miles, new tires on it)?
-
- Thanks for any help.
