- What *else* is wrong with the car besides the CV joint? At most, you'll have
- to replace the driveshaft (I seem to remember that Subaru has this nasty habit
- of welding CV joints to the driveshaft). That's probably less than $300 if
- you're willing to do the work yourself.

- Of course, if you're going to buy a new car anyway (if you don't already have
- one), then it might be a moot point. Even in that case, though, you should
- be able to make a profit off the thing if you fix the CV joint and sell the
- thing for $1000 or more.
