- The reason Chevy engines from the "good old days" leak oil at the valve
- cover gaskets is that they got a bit too cheap with the cover bolts/screws.
- My '55 has a 235 inline 6 has four - count 'em - 4 screws holding down the
- valve cover. Ya gotta tighten it just right, preferably with some form a
- gasket, to keep it from leaking.

- Ease of replacement of the gasket(s) is entirely dependent on how much crap
- you have to remove to get to them.
